none of these samsung refrigerators work. ice makers always fail. check facebook for the teens of thousands of unsatisfied customers that have created groups. don't waste your money.

we purchased this refrigerator from best buy on 21 october 2020 and it was delivered on 28 oct 2020. on 1 jan 2021, it displayed an error code of 41 on the smart hub screen and stopped working. the smart hub screen still works great other than the big contact support on the front but the lights inside are dead along with the compressor. samsung support can’t get anyone here until jan 6 2021 which is unacceptable. i’m not sure if i even trust this refrigerator now after it is fixed. i would rather for the smart hub to go out and still have the refrigerator work to keep my food cold until repaired.

it's a beautiful model, which looks really good in our kitchen and is very practical. there are major problems with the icemaker. ice get stuck and you can't even reach it as the bucket gets stuck. i tried to turn the icemaker off and it has been off for over a month but it doesn't thaw at all. This is not a fluke, it is a design flaw. Samsung knows about it but it’s not doing a recall and is still selling the product. If you still buy this product and in a month or two have problems, like everyone else who buys this product does, you can join a Facebook group of frustrated people who are encouraging each other in trying to get a refund from Samsung. Some work for years, investing many hours on the phone with Samsung. Good luck! You’re much better off not buying this product in the first place.

icemaker issues

It does what it needs to do, but has issues with the ice maker. The ice maker is particularly small, and has a tendency to freeze up (known problem, according to forums). I find I have to defrost the ice maker every other month in order to clear out the freezing, so that it can start fresh ice again. Frustrating given the size of the ice maker. Other features (smart family hub features) are cool and add functionality, but also extraneous if the ice maker doesn't work.

The idea is amazing and the concept is good. What I would love to see is improvement in the software (couldn't it just run Android with Fridge flavored mods?) If there was more competition of this type of fridge this could easily be 3 stars, but considering the new concept and ability to be a Smart Fridge and share videos (TV!) it's a really great idea and concept that works. I just wish it was more expansive.
