    When the vent hood is installed in recirculation mode, the air is picked up and passes through multiple filters including the charcoal filter that absorbs odors.     Doos a fine job for a hood that vents in room. It would be better if it was hooked up to vent outside, but I'm working with what I have.... Works easy though, light options are good.

    We had to replace an old vent hood and purchased this after reviewing on line what was available. This has lived up to expectations with a powerful fan with adjustable speeds.
